Thing that would sadly never happen in the U.S. #762. Reposting from Gawker.

Sorry for the wonky embed, but just watch. Quiet at the center of the universe + Robert Evans’s humility.
35 minutes of Kanye’s headspace. Is that the girl from the last Celebrity Apprentice? Couldn’t take my eyes off. Makes the Gaga/Beyonce “Telephone” collaboration look like a puppet show.
And if you haven’t seen the director’s cut of “Power”, do. This is absolutely how he meant it (NSFW).

Early in this blog I mentioned Mast Brothers chocolate, but that wasn’t the end of them! They’re legit trying to fashion their whole selves into a brand, rising to the top of the Brooklyn artisanal heap.
They profess the purest beans, the unlikeliest flavors, the finest papers, no two chocolate bars quite alike - a level of focus & dedication embraced perhaps by the Body Shop. Seems a bit…much for the simple enjoyment of something designed to melt in your mouth (they’ve decided not to sex it up or make it cheeky) but this video puts on display their allegiance to handicrafts in natural tones - the bricks, wood beams, iron and leather the surround them - without so much as a wink, and argues how they apply themselves and their souls to forging the richest chocolate they can from the most responsibly-sourced ingredients available. A neat oddity on its own, the video shows that they mean what they say, and are forming a sustainable ethos from it. The faintest afterthought: how does it taste? As a branding exercise in high-quality foodstuffs, these guys are hard to beat, and now we can watch how they’ve advanced their agenda.
